Editor note
Alcantara — the microfibre material Ferrari specifies across its car interiors — applied as wall lining across sections of Ferrari Style London. The material argument is cross-context transposition: a car-interior material operating in retail, carrying the Maranello-workshop cue without showing any of the cars themselves. Ferrari Style's Alcantara wall lining is the clearest example of the project's reference-through-haptic-material logic — instead of displaying vehicles, the space invokes them through the tactile vocabulary customers already associate with Ferrari ownership. Paired with hand-brushed stainless steel perimeter, concrete flooring, Rosso Ferrari accents, and mirror-brown staircase casing. Alcantara contract-grade is commercially available through Alcantara S.p.A.'s contract division (alcantara.com), with UK trade through Altfield (London) as the documented distributor; the application at Ferrari London register is bespoke (custom dyeing, wall-scale installation).
