Editor note
Custom golden display boxes with brushed finish, fabricated by Italian metalwork specialist Viabuzzano for APL SoHo. Ryan Goldston to WWD: the boxes are intended as a nod to the Audemars Piguet watches both brothers wear — a luxury-watch reference transposed onto a sneaker display. The aesthetic reading is unambiguous — elevated, illuminated, gold-cased trophies. The brand-narrative reading depends on the observer knowing what the Goldstons wear. If you don't, the boxes are well-made display cases. If you do, they're the brand's signature move. Either way, the material argument holds: performance sneakers displayed in gold vitrines at cultural-institution register. Specification is bespoke Viabuzzano commission; the firm specialises in fabricated metalwork for high-end retail display. Count per full set not publicly disclosed — the boxes populate the main floor and the fitting-room-adjacent zone as the primary product display apparatus.
